What if you could live a life without problems?
You don’t need me to tell you this time of year in the world is crazy. And you are probably getting a ton of emails from the health and well-being sector telling you how to ‘survive’ this crazy holiday period.
I don’t want to tell you any of that. It is crazy, and it is hard, and for some people it is lonely and isolating as hell.
I simply want to share a mantra with you that I am working with right now, right this very minute to keep myself in my heart. In fact it is one I use all the time.
It is simply this…What if there is no problem?
Just let yourself be with this for a moment.
If you feel into this question with your heart you’ll notice that in fact it isn’t about living a problem free existence. That simply isn’t possible. Instead, this question opens you to the possibility that what feels like a problem might not be a problem after all. And that even means the problems! Got it?
In other words, life and its attendant problems are unavoidable. Your attitude towards your problems will determine whether or not you read them as problems. This is simply an adjustment and not one that can be made with the mind. This is about allowing your heart to open more fully, to hold a space of gratitude and to witness your experiences without judgement.
Your life experiences are not the problem. Your attitude towards them is.
When I feel myself getting caught up in stress and drama around this time of year I simply remind myself, lovingly, to ask the question.
What if this isn’t a problem at all? What if this is just life happening?
I hope it imparts even a tiny fraction of what the peace I am feeling into your day. But if doesn’t, no bother. There really is no problem.
Blessings of the season to you dear ones. I love you like Christmas.
